A wellness coach works with people who want to improve their health and well-being through self-directed, sustainable behavior and lifestyle changes aligned with their personal values. 






WHY WORK WITH A WELLNESS COACH

A wellness coach uses a client-centered approach, meaning the client determines the path, and the coach supports the journey. The client-coach relationship is a collaborative partnership based on trust, unconditional positive regard, and respect.


The coach supports the client by helping to:

  • Activate internal strengths
  • Clarify goals and motivation
  • Explore challenges and barriers
  • Discover external resources


The wellness coach also helps the client learn to self-manage and self-monitor their behavior to increase both accountability and autonomy.


The ultimate goal of wellness coaching is to empower the client to see themselves as worthy and capable of making sustainable changes so they can live their ideal life – or well-life vision.
